As a hairdresser I have experienced varying qualities of hair extensions. I have been personally using extensions for over six years and have found that the quality of the hair is of the utmost of importance. There is currently a glut of cheap hair on the market advertised as 100% human hair. Human hair is the most often sought out, because it looks the most natural, however not all human hair is the same.
There is very cheap, non-cuticle hair that will dry out after one wash and is a relative waste of money. There are a large number of hair extension artists claiming to use ‘virgin’ hair for many hundreds even thousands of dollars, when what they really have is nice quality European hair that has been dyed and processed, therefor not virgin. True virgin hair has never been dyed or chemically altered, so you can only get it in the shades it comes in for Virgin Russian hair, Shades are very limited.
Remi or cuticle hair means that the healthy covering of the hair shaft hasn't’t been stripped to bleach and dye which in turn lengthens the life and reusability of the hair lasting well over 1 year .Virgin Russian hair is extremely strong with the most amazing silky texture. Due to the fact that the hair has NEVER been chemically treated the hair remains silky even after lighting and colouring. The hair reacts beautifully to colouring. For this reason I only use the Virgin Remy Russian hair it is by far the most superior product on the market. I have sourced directly from a supplier in the Siberian region.
